Hi, I’m Simone Weinwurm and I live in the southern part of Lower Austria (Austria, Europe). I am very excited to meet you here.

But let me tell you a little bit about myself, after all, that’s why you clicked the „About“ button. One of my favourite TV series is “Larkrise to Candleford”, which is about the lives and interactions of the people living in the villages Larkrise and Candleford. One of the main characters is Dorcas Lane, who keeps claiming that xxx is her “one weakness”. As it turns out, it’s not only one weakness, but a whole bundle of them, among them are food (“Food is my one weakness”), fruitcake, baths, feather pillows, fine shoes, morning cake, tea in the garden, picnics, thinking well of herself and many more. Well, I also claim to have three real weaknesses (at least!), and they are food, reading and music. I will most certainly write a lot about food in this blog, but you might also find some content about reading or music. Simply, because these are the things I love most. Particularly food. I am constantly concerned about what I could eat next, what would be a nice meal to cook and what kind of ideas other people are coming up with.

Anyway, in this blog you will find old recipes that were passed on to me by my grandmother, creations that show an influence of the region where I live, but also recipes from other countries. For example, I love to use spices that are typical for the Indian or North African region. As you can see, I hardly ever stick to a recipe that I read. I always change and modify it. Well, I love experimenting. But the recipes that you are going to find in this blog have certainly been tested, and I hope that you’ll also like them.
